Q: Are you providers for my insurance?
A: We are preferred providers for
- Anthem/Blue Cross
- Blue Shield
- United Health Care
Other insurance companies will also pay for our services but call us first to get the details. Insurance payment is always based on the deductible (out of pocket before insurance starts to pay) and the percentage payable (70%, 80%…). There may still be a co-pay that is the patient’s responsibility.
Q: Who will be doing my therapy?
A: Therapy will be done by either Jeff Waldberg PT MOMT or Alexandra Chaux DPT. While modalities (massage, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold, etc) may be provided by an aide or assistant, hands on treatment or changes to a treatment program (evaluations, joint mobilization, measurements exercise programs) are always done by a physical therapist.
Q: How long is each visit?
A: Generally each visit will take 45-60 minutes, sometimes a little longer. We do not overbook and therefore we run “on-time”.
Q: Should I expect pain with my therapy?
A: Absolutely not. Our clinical training as an orthopedic physical therapists emphasizes specific evaluation and treatment techniques that get results with a minimum of pain. Our philosophy is that improvement is faster when we avoid pain.
Q: What do we do on a typical visit?
A: Generally we will do a treatment portion in the room followed by an exercise portion in the gym area. You will be given a home program (at home or at your gym) to do independently once you improve.
